 Tommy’s big catch

   “C’mon dad” Tommy said, tugging harshly on his dad's shirt.

“Wait a moment and come help me unpack” replied his father sharply.

Tommy and his father have just arrived at the wharf where they’re going fishing. As many people started to arrive at the wharf Tommy and his dad rushed to pick the best spot they could find. After unpacking the gear, Tommy and his father hooked bait on the end of their rods and began fishing. 

Slowly, time went by and still neither Tom nor his dad had caught a fish. 

“It may be time to go Tommy, we’ve had no luck today” dad began to say when.

“WAIT, look dad” exclaimed Tommy excitedly as he lifted a fish out of the water.

Everybody looked and stared. Dad rushed for his phone; he just had to take a photo. 

This was the first catch of the day and for Tommy ever. The fish - wet, slimy,massive - dangled from the end of the fishing rod, extravagantly shaking like a wet dog.

“Ready tommy” dad said smiling from ear to ear

Tommy raised the fish high in the air and smiles ‘ cheese’
